Financials and payouts
Last updated: April 2026
The Financials dashboard at /dashboard/financials is where money actually gets tracked — payouts, fees, refunds, and disputes. Everything ties to your connected Stripe account.
Payout schedule
Techfleet Payments runs on Stripe Connect. The default payout schedule is 2-day rolling — funds collected today settle to your bank two business days later. Change the schedule directly in your Stripe dashboard (Settings → Payouts) if you prefer daily, weekly, or monthly.
Platform fees
- Techfleet takes 1% on every order routed through Techfleet Payments
- Stripe card processing is an additional 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (standard Stripe pricing)
- No platform fee on refunds — the 1% is waived when you refund
- No platform fee on offline payment methods (cash, wire, check) — only card-through-Stripe orders
Per-order breakdown
Open any order and scroll to the Payment section. You'll see the full money-flow waterfall:
- Gross — what the buyer paid
- Stripe processing fee — 2.9% + 30¢
- Techfleet platform fee — 1%
- Tax collected — remitted separately (see Settings → Taxes)
- Net payout — what actually hits your bank
Bank reconciliation
Every payout in Stripe has a unique payout ID. On the Financials page, click a payout to see every order included in it. Match the payout ID to your bank statement line and the amounts will match to the cent — no guessing.
Disputes and chargebacks
The Disputes tab tracks every chargeback initiated against your Stripe account. Each dispute shows the original order, the buyer's claim, the response deadline, and the current status. Respond directly in the Stripe dashboard — the link is on the dispute detail page.
Refund accounting
Refunds come out of your future payouts if the original charge has already paid out. If your next payout is smaller than the refund total, Stripe pulls the difference from your connected bank account. Keep a buffer if you expect high refund volume.
Tax remittance is your responsibility. Techfleet tracks collected tax per order and per jurisdiction but does not file or remit on your behalf. Pair this dashboard with a tool like TaxJar or Avalara for automated filings.
