Market Intel — how prices are gathered

Last updated: April 2026

Market Intel gives you the going market price for any device, broken down by condition. Prices are aggregated from public marketplace listings — not sticker prices, not manufacturer MSRP.

Where prices come from

  • Canada: Reebelo CA, Orchard, GoReCell, Mobile Klinik, PayMore
  • US: Reebelo US, Gazelle, Plug.tech, Swappa, Back Market, Apple Certified Refurb
  • Raw snapshots are deduped, resolved to catalog models via FTS5, then aggregated

The confidence score

Every price shows a 0–100% confidence score. The score weights four factors: source diversity (40%), freshness in the last 7 days (30%), price consistency (20%), and sample size (10%). Scores above 70% are green, 40–70% yellow, below 40% red.

How aggregation works

Techfleet uses a weighted median per (model, condition, market) tuple and removes outliers via modified Z-score. This protects against a single stale listing skewing the number.

Refresh cadence

Canadian and US scrapers run daily. Sites protected by Cloudflare (Back Market, Swappa, Gazelle) run on a separate Mac mini queue through a residential proxy — usually daily but occasionally slower.

NOTE

Market Intel is a reference, not a recommendation. Your cost, margins, condition grading, and warranty offer all matter — use the number as a sanity check on your own pricing.
