Stripe Connect onboarding
Last updated: April 2026
Techfleet Payments is powered by Stripe Connect. Before you can accept card payments you must complete Stripe onboarding — identity verification and bank account setup.
Start onboarding
- Go to Settings → Techfleet Payments
- Click Enable Payments
- You land in a Stripe-hosted onboarding flow embedded inside Techfleet Sync
- Complete every section: business details, representative ID, bank account
What Stripe verifies
- Legal business name and tax ID (EIN in US, BN in Canada)
- Representative identity (driver license, passport, or national ID)
- Business address and phone
- Bank account for payouts (routing + account number)
Capability and activation
Once Stripe approves your account, card payments become available on your buyer storefront automatically. In Canada, Custom Account Agreement (CAA) acceptance is handled in the embedded flow.
Managing your Stripe account
Settings → Techfleet Payments includes an embedded Stripe dashboard for balances, payouts, and disputes. For anything not exposed there, you can also log in directly at dashboard.stripe.com with your Connect credentials.
If Stripe requests additional documentation after activation (proof of business, invoice samples, etc.) payments will be paused until you upload them. Watch for emails from stripe.com.
