Customer events (GA4, Meta Pixel, GTM)

Customer Events let you wire your storefront to Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and custom pixel scripts. Standard ecommerce events (view item, add to cart, begin checkout, purchase) fire automatically.
Supported integrations
- Google Analytics 4 — paste your measurement ID
- Meta Pixel — paste your pixel ID (works alongside Facebook Shops)
- Google Tag Manager — paste your container ID, manage tags in GTM
- Custom pixel — inline JavaScript that receives a typed event payload
Standard events fired
- view_item — product detail page view
- add_to_cart — item added to cart
- begin_checkout — buyer reaches checkout
- purchase — order completes
- view_cart, remove_from_cart, search
Setting up GA4
- Go to Settings → Customer Events → Google Analytics
- Paste your Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX)
- Save — events fire on the next storefront pageview
WARNING
Be aware of privacy laws (GDPR, CPRA, PIPEDA). If you serve EU or California buyers you may need to add consent gating before firing ad pixels.
