Selling services

Services are non-shippable products — repairs, diagnostics, buyback quotes, consulting. They render with duration, delivery method, and an includes list instead of weight and shipping.

Add a service

  1. Go to Catalog → Add Product
  2. At step 1, choose Type = Service
  3. Fill in name, description, price, and duration (e.g. "45 min")
  4. Add a delivery method (in-store, remote, on-site)
  5. Optionally list what is included (bullet points buyers see on the storefront)
  6. Save — the service appears on your storefront with a service badge

How checkout handles services

A cart with only services skips the shipping step — no address beyond billing is collected. Mixed carts (service + physical product) do require shipping.

Fulfillment

Service orders do not get a shipping label. Click Mark as Fulfilled when the service is complete. The Service Order badge makes these easy to spot on the Orders dashboard.

v1 covers the basics. Per-day capacity caps, booking calendars, service-specific emails, and Google Calendar integration are on the v2 roadmap.
