Refunds and cancellations

Refunds and cancellations both release reserved stock back to available inventory, but they apply to different order states.
Cancel an unpaid order
- Open the order (state must be Pending)
- Click Cancel Order
- Add a reason (visible to the buyer if you email them)
- Stock returns to available immediately
Refund a paid order
- Open the order
- Click Refund
- Choose full or partial, and select which line items to refund
- Confirm — funds are returned to the buyer via the original payment method
Fee handling on refunds
- Techfleet platform fee (0.5%) is waived on refunds
- Stripe card processing fees (2.9% + 30¢) are NOT refunded by Stripe
- Offline payment refunds are free
Partial refunds
Partial refunds keep the order in its current state (Fulfilled, Shipped, etc.). Use them for price adjustments, missing-accessory complaints, or single-line returns on multi-line orders.
NOTE
Refunded serialized units can be marked as available again, or kept in a Returned state for inspection before reselling.
