Service orders

Service products (added via the Add Product wizard with type = Service) do not require shipping. Orders that contain only services skip the shipping step entirely at checkout.

How service orders differ

  • A Service Order badge appears on the order row and detail page
  • Checkout collects no shipping address if the cart is all services
  • Stock is set to 999999 by convention — services are effectively unlimited
  • The order completes once you manually click Mark Fulfilled

Mixed carts

If a buyer adds a physical product and a service to the same cart, shipping is required and the order behaves like a normal physical order. The service line simply does not factor into weight or dimensions.

NOTE

Per-day capacity caps, booking calendars, and service-specific emails are on the v2 roadmap. For now, manage bookings with your normal calendar tool and use order notes for scheduling detail.
